History:
 The first-born child to the throne of Spades after the Spades were thought to be baron, Sophia was promised a life of luxury and happiness. But, because she was a girl, the king insisted that they continue to try to have a son to be the heir to the throne. After four years of failed attempts at birthing another child, Sophia had begun to settle on the fact that she would one day be queen from the praise and adoration she received from her mother and father for being a ‘miracle’ child. However, when the news  broke out of the Queen being pregnant with a son, the girl became bitter. She smiled at her parents’ faces, and feigned sweetness to her younger brother as she had the ill-fortuned task of taking care of him when their mother was not present. 
Since then, Sophia began to take her pent up anger in the form of archery. When she had mastered every aspect of that, she took a gun in her hand in secret, due to the fact that guns are outlawed in the kingdoms.
During the war: Sophia’s bitterness towards her brother and her parents for denying her the throne simply because she was female lead her to commit the worst possibly act of all against her kingdom: treason. She leaked information to the Jack of Diamonds about the Jack & Ace of Spades infiltrating the Hearts’ castle, which lead to his inevitable capture. She had hoped that this would end in Eli’s death, which would make her the potential heir until Sebastian was of age, but unfortunately, her brother was more clever than she had expected, and he escaped. Her betrayal was never known, and she continues to plot a way to get Eli out of the picture.

Of course, he failed in that endeavor.
But it was the best mistake he had made in his entire life. The Captain of the famous Club ship caught him in the lower deck, but she refrained from throwing him overboard, or killing him for trespassing  She admired his bold sense of adventure, to dare climb on the flying dutchman, and to manage to avoid detection for as long as he did. She offered him a spot on her ship as cabin boy. He accepted in a heartbeat, and for 5 years, he served under her and proved himself as a valuable member of her crew.
During the war: 
Thomas was thirteen when the War of Tragedy broke out. He thought he was prepared to face battle, but he wasn’t. The first fire fight they got into was against the Bleeding Rose, the Hearts’ flying ship. In the beginning of the fight, Thomas hid in the captain’s cabin, afraid to go outside, but when he heard the dying yells of the men when a cannon ball struck through the haul, something snapped in him, and he joined in the fight. The first mate at the time had been killed by the blow to the haul, and out of nowhere, instinct kicked in, and Thomas began to instruct orders to the confused and dazed gunmen down in the lower haul. While the men refused to accept orders from the boy, the Captain, who had noticed the incident, ordered them to listen to him. Not soon after, a devastating tirade of gunpower was blown into the Bleeding Rose as Thomas predicted where it would fly to next, and it was forced to retreat. Since then, the Captain promoted him to First Mate, and he’s the youngest that’s ever been.

History:
Piper’s family were military. Her mother was a doctor in the medical center, and went on call during times of warfare. Her father was a general. She grew accustomed to being alone as a child, but when her parents were home, she was their little sunshine. Every so often, they would take her camping, where her father would teach her how to shoot arrows and use weapons, and her mother showed her how to identify poisonous plants versus the useful ones. While she retained most of the knowledge she learned from her mother, Piper was more partial to the weaponry and fighting that her father taught her, and she excelled with every weapon she picked, but, as unorthodox as it was, axes became her favorites. Shotguns were her normally her backup plan.
Like many other Clubs, her initiation into adulthood required killing a jabberwock in the Mountain of Kealu where they primarily nest. She was eager to kill, and prove herself among the ranks of the soldiers of the kingdom. However, when she came face to face with her first jabberwock, fear filled her, and she fled immediately. When she thought she had lost it near a riverstream, the terrified girl saw her reflection in the water, and something awoke in her. She didn’t want to be a scared little girl; fear was pathetic in the eyes of the Clubs. She refused to be that way. So, she took her axe, tracked down the jabberwock, and sliced it’s head off with the blade of her axe as a trophy.
Piper’s closest friend, Katherine, eventually became the Ace of Spades, and it did not take her long to offer an agent position to Piper when she turned 18. She does most of the training for new recruits, but also takes care to keep a watchful eye on the safety of the royalty, though, they often take care of themselves.
During the war:
As an agent during the war, Piper was involved mainly in reconnaissance missions. She explored beyond the areas occupied by friendly forces to gain vital information of enemy forces or features of the environment for later analysis or dissemination. Normally, she primarily concentrated her efforts on predicting enemy movements and relaying them to the generals of both the Spades and the Clubs army, but when the Ace of Spades, Eli, took on the dangerous mission of infiltrating the Hearts’ palace, she assisted him by scoping out the surrounding of the kingdom for a weak point of entry and tracked guard movements and shift changes.
Other notes: Piper relayed most of the information she recieved on recon missions to the information dispatcher, Agent 7, in the Spades. She doesn’t know who she is in person because Agent 7 keeps her identity well hidden, but she considers her a reliable source and a friend.

Alexis was always a curious girl growing up, always wanting to learn how to do something and always trying to discover new things. Being the Duke’s daughter gave her access to various rooms in the palace without the necessity of being supervised. She’d wander quietly into rooms and listen in on conversations she was more than likely not allowed to hear. She’d search through files, try different buttons on computers, and just take as much information in as possible. Always learning. There had been a few times where she had been caught however, reprimanded by her father for her actions. But that didn’t put a stop to her will, instead she’d look for things that she could build and put together that would aid her in not being caught. Keep her untraceable.
Eventually she had run out of things to do for herself within the palace walls. Years had gone by without her ever getting caught again. She needed something new so she started to pay a bit more attention to the numerous conversations she would listen in on or the secret pieces of information that she would come across. If she discovered that the Queen or anyone part of her forces were in need of something she would figure out a way to fill it. She wasn’t accomplished over night, it was a slow process as everything that Alexis is able to do was self taught. In the end she was able to use all of her knowledge to create a few new gadgets and new software as a means of strengthening their security and defences. Once the Queen started to catch wind of her ideas and her successes she supplied Alexis with her own team, able to maintain the advanced technology she started to create for them for their new security systems (as per the request of the Jack of Diamonds, an ally) and the creation of ‘Spirits’ as they continued to grow in popularity.
Her technological skills did not stop at computers and small electronics, eventually it expanded into weapons and she was able to introduce one or two interesting new pieces to the Hearts’ armoury. 
During the War: Alexis did not start most of her work for the Queen, self appointed or otherwise, until the War of Tragedy had already been well underway. During that time she spent most of her days inside the same labs as Boyd, within her own office.

History:
Growing up in the Club kingdom without parents is never an easy thing. Artemis’s father was killed in a bar brawl before she was born, and a few years after she was born, her mother abandoned her and vanished without a trace from the Club Kingdom. She was orphaned, and no orphanage existed in the kingdom. Kill or be killed, survival of the fittest - all of this applied to even the children. 
Unlike most orphaned children in the Clubs, Artemis managed to survive. She was surprisingly intelligent and clever for her young age. She cared very little for any others, ignoring begging hands when she managed to find a meal or pickpocket a wallet off of some rich bloke. She grew up hardened and selfish because of this, and eventually, when she was fifteen, she caught the eye of a Diamond passing through the kingdom on ‘business’. Fancying the ruthless, feisty girl, he made her an offer to become his ‘apprentice’ in the an organization in the Diamond kingdom. She accepted.
Since then, Artemis surpassed her seniors in a few short years, and has become one of the best assassins for the Crime Ring in the Diamond Kingdom. Eventually, she returned home to the Clubs, to kill her jabberwock to be considered an adult, and made her skills known. No later than a year after, she was offered the position of an Agent under the Ace’s command because of her unique talents, and now returns to the Diamond Kingdom only when a job requires her skills specifically.
A year prior to the present, Artemis was called into the Diamond kingdom to take care of an assassination that a young Diamond had botched. The Diamond, Jonah, had a change of heart at the last minute because the target had been with his family, and he warned them to run. Artemis arrived just as the hit had gotten over the border of the kingdom into the Spades, but, no soon had he come into her line of sight of the scope of her sniper rifle, he collapsed next to his family as soon as she pulled the trigger. Later that evening, she took care of Jonah as he tried to flee, and left him to die in a street from from multiple stab wounds. 
During the war:
Unlike most Clubs, Artemis specializes in taking out her opponents from a distance or by stealth. For a short duration of the war, she was on the battlefield with her sniper rifle, taking out the enemy from a safe distance away. Eventually, though, the opposition caught on, and captured her. Little did they realize that that had been part of her plan in order to get into the military base of the Hearts. As an agent, it was customary for a general to interrogate them for information, but her charms and seductive nature lead to some intimacy between her and one of the generals, and a poisonous lipstick smudge on the man’s lips left him in cardiac arrest. She escaped soon after.

History:
Liv’s life growing up, for all intents and purposes, was average at best. She wasn’t the child of royalty, wasn’t connected to anyone special, and simply lived her life out in the Clubs Kingdom. all too aware of how outsiders viewed the Clubs. She was brilliant and clever from a young age, but with very few ways to show it outside of school. Her mother raised her alone and the pair had just enough to get by well enough on their own. Liv wasn’t the most well-versed in weaponry or military tactics, nor did she receive proper or ‘formal’ training from it, she talked friends into teaching her - she had no desire to be useless when it came to that sort of deal.
When Olivia grew a little older, she found herself bored with the way her life was rather simple and plain. It was dull, unexciting, and fairly predictable and she wanted more than that. Boredom found her playing games and seeing how far she could go and push things. Her interactions with people became less about pure socialization and more about how she could challenge herself in them and how she could convince people of stories she told (she had enjoyed storytelling since she was a child). That combined with restlessness and a need to challenge herself, plus a desire to ‘up’ what she had in life, drove her to take on the roles she played full-time. No longer happy with small time foolery and a life of being outside of the elite, she put her talents to use - she spent her time fooling people out of their money and most prized possessions.
It wasn’t long before her ego and confidence caught up with her and ultimately backfired. She managed to get herself caught in the middle of a stunt she was pulling - against the wrong person, no less, and was nearly thrown into prison. Liv narrowly escaped that particular fate and has been kept under a watchful eye ever since and has been doing her best to behave herself. Mostly.

Becoming an Agent was never meant to be part of the plan that Olivia had in terms of long or short-term goals.  Unfortunately, slipping up and getting yourself caught in the act doesn’t leave one with many options as to what to do - especially when offered the chance to stay out of prison in exchange for loyalty and using your ‘talents’ to assist during those hard times. It was a pretty simple choice for Olivia to make, all things considered. Olivia was soon assigned the title of Agent #2 and, even in her usefulness, had a close eye kept on her during it all to make sure she didn’t slip back into old habits or work against the agency.
Her ability to effortlessly slip into roles and characters proved to be rather useful. She wasn’t the most athletic or smart when it came to technology as some of the other Agents. She was, however, good at becoming exactly who she needed to be and when, adjusting her personality to suit and fit a situation and who or what she was dealing with at the time. While other people dealt with behind-the-scenes things she was, more often than not, dealing directly with people.

Very few are aware of her criminal past and she takes great strides to keep it that way. As far as most are concerned, she’s just a girl who got lucky in improving her life.

Flaws: Can be a little too cocky and confident for her own good, at times, and lets it get the best of her.

History:

Liv’s life growing up, for all intents and purposes, was average at best. She wasn’t the child of royalty, wasn’t connected to anyone special, and simply lived her life out in the Clubs Kingdom. all too aware of how outsiders viewed the Clubs. She was brilliant and clever from a young age, but with very few ways to show it outside of school. Her mother raised her alone and the pair had just enough to get by well enough on their own. Liv wasn’t the most well-versed in weaponry or military tactics, nor did she receive proper or ‘formal’ training from it, she talked friends into teaching her - she had no desire to be useless when it came to that sort of deal.

When Olivia grew a little older, she found herself bored with the way her life was rather simple and plain. It was dull, unexciting, and fairly predictable and she wanted more than that. Boredom found her playing games and seeing how far she could go and push things. Her interactions with people became less about pure socialization and more about how she could challenge herself in them and how she could convince people of stories she told (she had enjoyed storytelling since she was a child). That combined with restlessness and a need to challenge herself, plus a desire to ‘up’ what she had in life, drove her to take on the roles she played full-time. No longer happy with small time foolery and a life of being outside of the elite, she put her talents to use - she spent her time fooling people out of their money and most prized possessions.

It wasn’t long before her ego and confidence caught up with her and ultimately backfired. She managed to get herself caught in the middle of a stunt she was pulling - against the wrong person, no less, and was nearly thrown into prison. Liv narrowly escaped that particular fate and has been kept under a watchful eye ever since and has been doing her best to behave herself. Mostly.

barista in “Espresso yourself” coffee shop in Nulle Part, studying criminal justice

Harper’s father was a detective, and he raised his little girl as a single father in Nulle Parte. When she was four, he had taken her to the park to play one day while her mother was at work at her law firm. Having got off work early to spend time with her family, she stopped off at the house, only to find a burglar in their home. A phone call to her father’s phone and a panicked rush back to the house would leave Harper scarred for the rest of her life. The cop who had arrived on the scene after a phone call had been made to the police of a reported gun shot being fired stated that her mother had walked in on the burglary in progress, and started the thief, who shot her and fled from the scene of the crime.
Ever since then, Harper’s had a fascination with criminology. While most girls played with barbies, she played cops and robbers with the boys, and her best friend, Toby. Throughout her education, she kept herself distracted with studying, and in her spare time enjoyed watching cop shows, and old detective movies. Harper’s now studying criminology in order to one day become a detective like her father. She’s long since abandoned her hope of catching the criminal that killed her mother, but she hopes to prevent families from having to endure what she had, or at least bring the criminals to justice.
The Nobody remained oblivious during most of the war, having her nose in books, or watching old films. The Nulle Part district shunned most of the refugees from the war, so she remained in an ignorant little bubble while she worked in the coffee house, Espresso Yourself, after moving out into her own little apartment in the district. She never paid any mind to the royalty, until one day, when the royalty of the Four Suites came to Nowhere for peace, she met Benjamin, the editor of the Ad Absurdum, and royalty, who began to come into Espresso Yourself regularly to enjoy a cup of coffee and do some work. Even though it’s taboo to have a crush on a customer, she simply could not help but be swept off her feet by his charming jokes.
